The Dangers In Location C1D1 And C1D2

By Larry Stone

Machines had helped in the improvement of a lifestyle of the humanity. You can see everywhere how everything becomes so advanced and progressive. The economy had changed, affecting the progression of a country. With more industries and businesses are discovered, more favorable circumstances come for the people. For that reason, many job positions are open to a company and individuals will just take it or not. Finding a job is crucial and you need to work hard for your own benefit. However, you still need to be careful at all times especially when you are working in a location like c1d1 or c1d2.

Almost everywhere contains a potential danger that people usually ignore or perhaps nobody cares about it at all. There are some places that can really put you in danger. One of that is working on a power plant or some factories. You might get physically hurt because you bumped on to something that is sharp and it hurt your knees. Or maybe you got poisoned after having a contact with a poisonous substance. Imagine these dangers that can totally ruin your life.

But what is a hazard? Basically, it is any source of potential damage or harm that will cause health effects on something or someone. There are many types of these hazards that can harm human beings from environmental to biological. A working area can be hazardous if it has gases, or flammable dust or liquids with adequate amount to generate a fire or even explosion. In hazardous locations, distinctively devised apparatus and special installation methods must be applied to defend against the flammable potential or explosive of these substances.

Explosives are receptive material that has a great quantity of potential energy that can generate an explosion. If it is discharged all of a sudden, usually followed by the production of heat, sound, light, and pressure. In a particular atmosphere, electrical equipment becomes a main cause of explosions. Apparatus used in areas or locations where explosive absorptions of vapors or dust will occur, it must be geared with a unique wiring and some electrical materials for safety reasons.

Class I locations can be a target with explosions. This location has ignitable gases in the air with enough amount to generate explosives or combustible mixtures. Two divisions and three zones are under in Class I location.

Class I Division 1, has combustible absorptions of ignitable gases. It may also happen under ordinary circumstances. It discharges ignitable vapors coming from repair, leak or maintenance or when an operation has gone into error.

Class I Division 2. This is also known as C1D2. In a C1D2 area, explosive ignitable gases or liquids are used. However, they are typically restrained in closed systems or vessels. It may also be a place where burnable concentrations of vapors are blocked with positive automated ventilation.

Those harmful substances only explode whenever there is a disruption in the area. Moreover, its location is quite close to other divisions. A place like that should provide safety showers with a protection from flames or sparks so that explosions will be avoided.

An environment should have safety measures so that dangerous situations such as explosion will not occur. Risks connected to health will reduce. Whether your area is in Class I or not, do not let your guards down.
