Can Long Island Marketing Assist Independent Games?

By Rob Sutter

I have been involved in the world of gaming for quite some time and I have seen talent arise from every area. It does not matter so much what one's budget entails as long as there is a creative idea that can be looked to. Independent gaming, in my mind, is the kind of idea that should be given more focus and I do not think that anyone will be able to say differently on the matter. That being said, can Long Island marketing help those projects that may not be given as much attention?

There is a tremendous amount of knowledge to be seen from the gaming audience, since it knows all too well the importance of products soon to come. They know which ones are worthy of their time, judging by artwork, video content, or what have you. It is important for creators to grab the attention of the audience, after all. Minecraft is just one example of an indy game that set the world on fire but it is a rare instance in a field that is, to say the least, difficult.

Kickstarter is seen as one of the bigger fundraising websites out there and a number of projects have been helped as a result of it. Keep in mind that users can donate to projects that they feel have potential, some of the most popular being "Shovel Knight" and "Mighty No. 9." With the instance of backer tiers for those who pledge money, they can, in essence, put down preorders. However, when Kickstarter does not help nearly as much, other services can prove to be infinitely useful by comparison.

Very few processes have been able to reach my attention more than Long Island marketing. Firms such as fishbat know all too well just how important it is for various names to be seen and I do not think that anyone can disagree with just how effective said firms can truly be. Keep in mind that they are able to incorporate various services - social media and SEO alike - in order to help a certain level of awareness come to the surface. It is clear that results of the greatest degree will be seen.

Long Island marketing, in simplest terms, is one of the most impacting processes that can help out any brand. I would like to think that it can help bring an independently made game to the forefront as well, provided the best services are put into effect. Social media is a platform that should not be overlooked, especially since it has been utilized tremendously during the past few years. Not only is it a tool for personal purposes but it can help in the way of business as well.
