Walmart's New Savings Catcher App

By Dawood Sajid

Considered to be one of the most commonsense applications ever created, one that has people scratching their heads as to why it was never created before, an application that offers the best price guarantee through their Savings Catcher program. This is actually an application that can be used on both android and Apple phones which was released in 2014.

In today's world, having an app for your store will put you above everyone else. If you notice that your competition has an app, you will need one too. This is what happened with Walmart. Target has an app and now Walmart needs one. The public was expecting it and will be happy with it. It will help people save money a little easier and in return might choose to shop there over other places.

An app for a store is a really good thing because it gets people always aware of what is on sale and where they can get a deal. If the app has notifications, even better. It can really be on top of letting people know what to shop for.

Users can check their Savings Catcher balance through the app and redeem the savings for a gift card. An eGift Card is issued and can be used online or in Walmart stores. The Savings Catcher program can also be access on the Walmart websites for users who do not wish to download the app.

So how this all comes together is that if people are purchasing something at Wal-Mart, the information about what they have purchased, when they purchased it, and all of the other data that goes with that is now actually conveyed into a software program related to the app that is being used. This gives Wal-Mart all of the information that it needs to understand your buying habits, and in doing so, provide you with a better shopping experience and discounts on the things that you actually want, not just coupons on whatever they happen to want to sell at a lower price.

As with most larger corporations that have an online website, which makes it very easy to track what people are buying because it is all entered and processed on the Web, taking advantage of the information as to what people are buying in the regular stores has always been separate information. In fact, most of that information is never recorded, simply providing people with discounts using the cards or the apps that they bring to the store to get the cost savings. Now, with the Savings Catcher Killer App by Wal-Mart, they can combine all of this information, purchases made online and off-line, in order to get a better representation of the patterns of consumer so as to provide them with discounts on exactly what they purchase on a regular basis.
